"Cities of Romania at the turn of the 20th century" April 17th – May 31th17-04-2008 Organized by the Romanian National History Museum in collaboration with the Oltenia Museum Craiova, History and Art Museum of Bucharest Muncipality, National Philatelic Museum and under the patronage of the Romanian Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs, it presents the main cities of the Romanian Old Kingdom at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
The exhibition includes such diverse objects as costumes, the first car ever registered in Bucharest, a bicycle, photographic cameras, door bells and also an extensive collection of postcards depicting public buildings, squares, parks, monuments, theaters, schools and universities, rail stations, churches, and last but not least, aspects of everyday life.
